On Property Fitness Equipment

I was just wondering if any of the Disney Hotels had a workout room (Treadmill, bikes, weights etc) I’m on a new exercise kick, that I started with a trainer 7 weeks ago and lost 40lbs so far, my goal is to lose 100 by our next magical Disney trip in November.

I’m really addicted to this working out and was hoping to continue it even on my vacation, that way I can splurge on a few Disney goodies and still stay on track.

(I can’t wait to be able to ride some of the rides I passed on previous years, because of my size).

We usually stay at a Moderate or Value resort.

For Moderate the only on that has a gym is Coronado Springs. But the other ones have jogging/walking trails.
For Value they only have jogging trails.
You can get the maps of the trails at the concierge desk in the main lobby.

I don't believe there are any fitness centers at value resorts but Coronardo Springs has one and I believe most of the Deluxe resorts have one. As I understand it you can use these gyms for a fee if you are not staying at that particular resort (but you have to be staying on property). It was about $12.00 a day a couple years ago, not sure what the pricing for it is now. Update us if you find out.

Wow, congrats on 40 lbs! Contemporary has a gym, and I think the rest of the Deluxes do as well.

Thanks for all the well wishes, it's been a battle my whole life, but somehow, I've opened my eyes to a whole new way about learning nutrition, and working out.

I do feel much better even though it's just 40lbs. because altogether I had 207lbs to lose. However it's just 167 now

It started out being a "Weightloss Challenge" at work. They chose 15 of us out of 3,000 employees. And at the moment I'm ahead by weightloss, the winner is determined by Fat percentage loss, and I'm in 4th place. It's a 12 week challenge, however I'm planning on continuing for ever. I have a personal trainer that I work out with twice a week, and the rest I'm on my own. And we all meet once a week as a group with a nutritionist.

The 2 winners (1 male and 1 female) gets $1,500 (that would be a nice payment towards our Disney trip!

Jogging would not work for someone my size, my knees would leave town.
And going for a walk around the resort, didn't make much sense to me, because we'll be walking the whole time down there, and you know what that is like. I was just looking for some quicj cardio to do while the wife and child are getting ready in the AM, and some weights would be good.

I think I'll improvise in the hotel, with my wall squats, crunches, and maybe I'll use the wifes suitcase for weights. God knows she always packs too much!
