Spalsh Mountain Closure?

A co-worker returned from WDW today... When I asked about her trip, she said that Splash Mountain was closed on the day they visited the Magic Kingdom. Is this true? I have read several threads mentioning that certain audio-animatronics weren't working properly. I wonder if this was the reason??? I was hoping some of you experts may have some insight on the issue. I am leaving for WDW on Saturday and surely don't want to miss the this great attraction. Thanks!

I'm not a Disney local, but I've checked several sites and there isn't anything posted that I could find. Sometimes they close rides for short amounts of time to fix stuff quickly. Perhaps the ride needed a couple hours of maintenance? We'll be there starting the 11th as well! I hope that Splash is up and running by then!

It was probably a short closure because it was not scheduled or posted.

I didnt hear anything for sure but i hope it was for AA maintenence, because the last time i rode it, the AA of Brer Rabbit that hops beside the log wasnt working at all!

splash definitely goes 101 alot, usually just for a short amount of time. occasionally it'd be an all day thing. at least it's better than space (before it closed). if you had a day that space DIDN'T go 101 it was a crazy day.
