Season Prices

Does anybody know if the Disney resort seasonal price is based on the time you start your stay or the season a day is in regardless of when you start?

For example, staying Sept 27 to Oct 3, would price be higher the last 3 days (Oct 1-3) since value season ends Sept 30?

Up until last year the rate you started with was the rate you got for your whole stay, even if you had only one day in value season and the others in regular season, your whole stay would have been "value" priced.

Now it is based on actual seasons your visit spans.

It must depend on who you book with. When we were there at Christmas we started at a Value Rate and it flipped to the higher Seasonal rate mid vacation. Sad that was.
