Ask The Disney Experts Discuss Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy Question in the Ask The Experts forums; I'm confused on the whole transition to Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy. Is this just for the halloween season or is this permanent? Is SMGG the same in Disneyland as well?...

Re: Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy Question

SMGG originally came out in HKDL in 2007 for the Halloween celebrations. Luckily for us on this side of the ocean, Disney saw how successful it was over there and gave us the oppertunity to try it out! It should only be in the park for a short time since it's suppose to show the Mountain being haunted.
I loved this ride, and was able to go on it four times on my last trip. I was very lucky to be able to use a fast pass on all of them, however I was tempted to wait in the standby line a few times. To give an idea of how popular it was, the normal wait time I usually see on my trips to DL is uasually 45 - 60 minutes during peak. For SMGG the fast passes were usually gone by noon, and the wait time would hover around 100 - 120 minutes! The line was coming down to the Cast Members down by the fast pass machines.
I really hope they will add this th WDW for next years Halloween celebrations, and I'm betting it stays in DL from now on.
