So, ... are they repairing him? Did they scrap him and put him in a parade somewhere?

Re: Yeti truth?
At last report, she is still there, and still stationary. IF they attempted to reanimate her, it apparently didn't help with the structural problems.
Perhaps the strobes were broken when you went through.
If Betty was missing, it would be all over the Internet

Re: Yeti truth?
Yep still in B mode.
There are rumours that instead of trying to fix it they may replace it with a more efficient less complex yeti ( this would mean less down time for the ride if it comes to surpass)

Re: Yeti truth?
I guess I haven't heard or read what the primary structural problems are??
And there were a few small stobes when I went through, though I sure didn't see anything otherwise. I asked for my money back, but...

Re: Yeti truth?
The Yeti, the track, and the mountain all have separate base structures.
The Yeti's movements apparently have such force that its base began to seriously crack. Simple repairs haven't improved it, and it would likely take removing and rebuilding to fix.

It's funny that the attractions that were designed and built long before computers don't have nearly the amount of technical problems this ride has.

Yep - It's been proven time and time again that the more 'dimentioned' a system is (more parts, motions, variables), the more there is to fail.
They ought to go to C mode - just a simple swinging lever as the arm, and a grabbing paw at the train, but leave all the "more hydrolics than a 747" to ... a 747.
Or how 'bout a huge mouth/teeth that the train goes through, with a blasting waft of stale Yeti breath
Or... oh well. I just hope they'll fix it.
