DVC Info sessions at WDW

I'm interested in attending a DVC info session in WDW. Where/when are they usually held? How long are they?

Also, a CM once told me that if you attend a session that you are compensated with some kind of Fastpass to make up for the time that you missed at the park? Is that true?

We heard the same and spoke to a DVC CM about a tour. We had to schedule an appointment for the tour. I think the best plan might be to call them in advance and set up an appointment on your arrival day if you were looking for something to do on that day. I had a friend do that about 5 years ago and they upgraded her resort room when she checked in later that afternoon.
