question about buying tickets

hey everyone, i'm hoping someone here will know the answer to this. . .

i live in kissimmee and have an annual pass, i have a friend coming to visit me from Georgia and we want to go to the parks. Can i purchase her a ticket with my florida residency or not because she, herself, isn't a florida resident?

i don't want to break any rules or cheat the system we're just trying to save any money we can.

any help or thoughts you have are much appreciated, thanks!

I believe the Florida Resident passes are limited to direct family members, not friends. Anyone else remember anything different?

Unfortunately, no. FL resident tickets require that you display proof of residency. At least that's the case for an AP, I can't imagine it's any different for any other tickets. This was a source of frustration for me when I first moved here. I thought it more than reasonable to expect that my AP, if not my residency, might entitle me to some kind of discount for tickets for guests, but no dice.

Actually, I think they are limited to actual residents - at least for AP.

The proof of residency requirements include provisions by which someone who can't prove their residency directly (EG they aren't a licensed driver) can still get FL resident pricing if they can prove their identity (using EG a Social Security Card) and someone else who can prove their residency signs a form swearing that the first person lives with them. I'm not aware that the two people must be related, but they do have to both live in FL (or be willing to swear to that in writing).
