i could have gotten there earlier.. but when i booked leave at noon get there at 2 was my best option
ahha... see i like the whole get there early and leave late... i landed at 9:35 and was in MK by 10:45... and we left to go home at 8:25... so we left Epcot at 4:15... i loved that setup...
i wish we could have done that.. i was being cheap... and took a cheap flight
I'm not sure what airline you're traveling on Chrissy, but in February my fiance and I were in that same position. The cheapest fare put us on a 4pm flight from Dallas so we would have gotten to MCO around 8:30! GROSS! We decided to try our luck and get to the airport in time for the very first flight of the day and put ourselves on the standby list. We got on that flight and instead of getting to MCO at 8:30pm, we got there at about 10:30 AM! It was like getting an entire extra day at WDW.
We flew on American. At the time they didn't charge a fee to standby for an earlier flight, I think now it's $50. Just a thought. If the extra $50 still leaves you with a cheaper fare then I would say its definitely worth it.
See that's why I love getting there early... It seems as though you have another full day...

katie... there is 3 flights leaving for orlando that morning at 6:25 on airtran.. so i would think my chances of stand by would be awesome :)
