I don't know, but it seems to be offset pretty well by a No Way Jose.

    Re: Calories burned

Standard park fare probably cancels the exercise out.

I think you add calories just by walking past the new Werther's caramel shop in Germany.

    Re: Calories burned

Just got back from a trip where I wore a pedometer every day. I have been wearing one as a promotion at work that encourages employees to get out and walk more.

I averaged about 17,000 steps per day in the parks, which is about 8.5 miles per day and around 900 calories. This will change based on a person's speed, height and weight.

    Re: Calories burned

yeh but that meal at biergarten just killed all of that exercise done...

when i went to WDW in august i weighed myself before i left (i had been eating healthy and lost a significant amount of weight) i then weighed my self when i got home and i was only 3 lbs heavier... surprisingly the walking does help lot...

    Re: Calories burned

I've kind of always been even money on my weight at WDW. Yes, we over-eat way too much while in the parks, but it's evened out for me with all of the walking.

    Re: Calories burned

I'd say not a lot.... You may burn it off walking around etc, but it will be cancelled out by the food you eat unless you have a salad for every meal!! lol!

    Re: Calories burned

it also depends on the type of walking you do... if your like me who fast passes Splash and Space repeatedly and take about 5 trips across MK a day... the walking might help... plus i try not to stuff myself silly while there...

    Re: Calories burned

It's always a shocking disappointment to know that it takes A LOT to burn up calories. and although the walking at the parks seems like a lot, the foods are so calorie-dense that it's hard to win the fight. Have you seen the cinnamon buns at the Main Street Bakery??? I ran three or four miles every morning just to stay ahead of the game!

Standing in line also burns calories.

    Re: Calories burned

I would love to be standing in line and start doing jumping jacks or something. When people stare at me I could say "I just had a Mickey Bar and I need to work this off". At least it would burn a little more.
