Hey everyone, does anyone know if the in room cartoons still appear on the resorts channel? I really enjoyed in 08 listening to the old Disney Sing A Long song episodes. I have had the songs stuck in my head every night since and can't wait to see them again. Hopefully they still play! :mousetune
when we were there in feb. i was like hey where did the channel go with all the old disney cartoons and they were like sorry we dont do that anymore :( i was so sad.. its one of my perks i looked forward too because my daughter likes to old movies
I remember being glued to that back in 2004 - we were stuck in our room at Pop for nearly two days because of Hurricane Frances and there were back to back Disney classics on the TV, plus some Pixar faves as well. Happy days!
I don't recall seeing them a few weeks ago but then again I didn't really watch much tv while I was there.
In 2009 the were still looping cartoons on lobby and room tv
i think it was something they stop in 2010 or the end of 2009.. because when i went in feb.10 i couldnt find them and i called and they said they were gone :( and i was so mad!
IN 2009 we stayed at several of the value resorts throughout the year and the only one that showed the cartoons then was All Star Movies. Don't know if they are still showing them or not though.
i wonder? are they the only ones who do it now?
I stayed at All Star Movies in 08 but Music this time. I hope they brought them back if now I'll be so disappointed!! Gave me something to listen to while falling asleep!
No cartoons as of a couple weeks ago... Just advertising for DVC, Adventurers, parks, ads ads ads ads ads.
I was in my room (sewing) the day of MNSSHP - it would have been GREAT to have background noise other than the "Must Do's of Disney!" Blegh.
although the Disney must do's are awesome to bore you to sleep
I don't know... I mean, you have to watch it when you first get there - - just to get you pumped -- but that girl... just awful. Very annoying.

yeh... she is absolutely ridiculous... if your staying in a DVC resort can they turn this station off... i wanna say that if someone is staying at a DVC chances are this isnt their first trip to the rodeo...
Last time I went, there was about 8 channels with the spinning Disney symbol.
When I was down on a business trip several weeks ago, they didn't have any "spinning mickey" channels any more, at least at the POP. They do dupe a lot of channels with captioned versions - I'm not exactly sure why since almost all TVs have captioning.
From what I remember, the cartoon channel still exists, but most TVs aren't programmed to have the channel listed any more. I was able to tune it in manually once, but haven't tried in a while. It was channel 97 or 98 I think.
I think last time I tried, I couldn't get into the right menu to tune the channel. The newer TVs may not allow it.
