why dont disney use more

Not every movie character is made into a park character, unfortunately. This is especially true for face-type characters

I think there are some issues with trademark issues with the non animated characters. I have heard that these issues are the reason why there is no Giselle character in the parks.

I'd love to see Giselle in the parks, as she's one of my fave Disney princesses - it's a shame that this is unlikely due to the points you raised above.

but it is a sad truth... sometimes things cannot be done because of copyrights and legal reasons... which is why the GMR will probably never be changed...

She's one of our favorites too. There were early plans to incorporate her into the Princess brand but someone realized no one approached Amy Adams about using her likeness. It really comes down to royalties for Adams. Disney has to either come up with an up front amount to use Adams' likeness or I guess they could come up with an agreeable per appearance use. I think that Disney learned a lesson over the Sharkboy/Lavagirl lawsuit.
