most decent seats are taken up by the dinner package people. in 2005, I did a dinner package and got not so great seats. I would say if you want to take the chance on getting a seat go about 90 minutes before show time.
Hi all! I am going to the Candlelight Processional for the first time this year! I know there are multiple shows, and I plan to go to the first show, hoping it won't be as crowded. I do not plan to buy the dinner package that includes guaranteed seating. Granted that that's the case, how early should I arrive at the theater to make sure I get a decent seat? Thanks for your help!

It can vary depending on the day of the week, what week, and who the narrator is.
For the first show, I'd be in line no later than 45 minutes ahead of time. 60 would be safer.
I think the previous poster's 90 minutes is excessive unless it's a weekend night or an Epcot evening EMH night, and the narrator is especially famous. Or if it's any time after December 18. Then, yeah.
Thanks for the feedback! I plan to attend the first show on Wednesday, December 8th. Hopefully, it won't be too crowded. The narrator is currently listed as Jodi Benson. :::grins::: I was so excited to see that, 'cause I love "The Little Mermaid".
Another question - are you allowed to film the show? If so, is there a standing-room only section where you can set up a tripod?
Thanks again!
Jodi Benson will be popular. I don't think there is standing room only section and if there is it's in the back. You can record the show. I would ask a CM earlier in the day about tripod arrangements. Maybe you can get an end seat and place it in the aisle but not sure. I know the choir comes down the aisles at one point.
Thanks for the info Lori!
