So I was given 2- 2 day park hoppers from guest relations due to an issue I had a few years ago. My question is, do these tickets count as my "base" ticket? If it does, then does that mean I can add the extra days for the low cost?

If the tickets say "comp" or "complimentary" - and they probably do - then the tickets cannot be upgraded in any way.
If they have the standard MYW ticket verbage, then they probably can be upgraded.
I would expect you can upgrade, but like mentioned above... read the fine print on the ticket to see if there are any stipulations.
