Making First Trip Special

Friends of mine are going to Walt Disney World for the first time ever and I would like to do something to make it special for them. Here is a bit of background.
It is a couple in their 50's and they have no children. They are going in June for a conference and are only staying for four days. They are staying at the Beach Club Resort and I know they have made reservations at three restaurants at the Yachtsman and one over at the Swan and Dolphin. Since their work involves guest services I know they will enjoy the seminars and be watching closely the quality of the guest service they will receive during their stay. (maybe I talked that part up too much being a former WDW cast member.)
ANY idea would be wonderful. I know everyone in WDWRadio land have great imaginations!!

Since you are right by Epcot, the segway tour at the world showcase would be neat.
You could do the tour at 7:45 before any other people enter the park. That would be special to feel you have this park to yourself and seeing Cast Members preparing for the start of the day. Afterwards you can get a nice breakfast and talk about the experience.

I believe they have booked the Keys to the Kingdom tour - so I'm not sure if they will go for another tour, but a great idea though. The couples massage might be an idea.

A couple of years ago a good friend/co-worker of mine celebrated her birthday at wdw. Since I was not able to join her for her trip I did two things to celebrate. I contacted the wdw florist and had a special basket sent to her room her birthday. I picked an embroidered small cooler with traditional Mickey snacks (rice krispy treats, pretzels, etc) couple of diet cokes, and some misc birthday stuff. I also knew she had booked an ADR at Fulton's for her birthday dinner. I called Fulton's at the time of her ADR and talked to the manager. I ordered her a bottle of her favorite wine for her to enjoy with her meal. If your friends aren't drinkers - maybe order them the resturants signature dessert?

Those are just two things I have done to help friends enjoy their trips. I too am a fellow cast member and take great joy in helping "first-timers" experience all the MAGIC at WDW.

My favorite special treat at Disney is a meal at the California Grill. It would be worth changing one of their reservations. They can dine at the top of the Contemporary Resort overlooking the Magic Kingdom. After dinner, they can go out on the roof to watch the MK fireworks! It is a really special experience!

Those are both great ideas. I believe they have an ADR at the Yachtsman I remember a wonderful wine we had there the last time. I could call and see if they still have it and order it for them! (of course Mark loves his desserts - so I could do that too)
