Annual Pass and Hotel discount?

Hey everyone!
This is a weird question. I'm wanting to buy an annual pass for Walt Disney World but I won't be able to redeem it till October when I go down there to stay off site. My question is I also want to see about reserving a room onsite at one of the resorts in December if they have a annual passholder discount but will I be able to do that if I haven't redeemed the voucher for the actual ticket. Because I would to reserve a room with an Annual Passholder discount for december before I go down in october.

Hi! I live about an hour away from you straight south on I85, so I guess we're technically neighbors. Welcome.
In the past I have reserved a room so I am sure I will have it, and when the discounts are published, I call back and ask the CM to apply the discounted rate. I have done this without the actual AP in my hands, only a voucher. You will need to show them your voucher or actual pass when you arrive to receive the discount. At least this was my experience.
