Wild Africa Trek - Chicken Exit On Bridges?

Hi Guys

Hubby and I have been talking about doing the Wild Africa trek next year, but I'm a bit concerned about the height issue of the rope bridges. Whilst I don't have a fear of heights myself, my husband is a bit on the nervous side and he wanted to know if there is an opt-out of having to do the bridges. If he found he couldn't get across the bridges, is there somewhere he would be able to wait whilst the rest of the guests do their thing and then continue on the tour together afterwards?

He really wants to do the trek, but it's just the bridge issue that's causing some concerns at the moment - would be grateful if anybody could advise.

I can let you know in May Cara, Kerrie doesn't like (really doesn't like) heights, so if I'm stood at the other end of the bridge laughing at her and there is no other way for her to cross I'll let you know (if she hasn't beaten me up lol)

Thanks Tim... I was really close to booking this tour for myself in May (to test-run it and see if was suitable for Matt), but he told me he really wanted us to do this one for the first time together, so guess I'll just have to hope that he doesn't turn in to pile of jelly as soon as we get to the first bridge. It probably didn't help that when we saw the videos for the first time, I told him that it reminded me of the massive bridge in Indiana Jones, shortly before the bad-guys fall off and get eaten by the crocodiles...

It's weird, Matt isn't scared of flying at all, but stick him on Swiss Family Treehouse and he turns in to a gibbering wreck - weird!??

Not weird. My father was exactly the same. Loved flying but couldn't stand heights.
