    Night time water pageant

On my many visits to WDW I have never been able to see the night water pageant. Can anyone tell me where to stand if I am not staying on Disney property?

    Hi,

    From AllEars:
    "Polynesian Resort -- 9 p.m.
    Grand Floridian -- 9:15 p.m.
    Wilderness Lodge -- 9:35 p.m.
    Fort Wilderness -- 9:45 p.m.
    Contemporary Resort -- 10:05 p.m.
Magic Kingdom -- 10:20 p.m. (only during extended MK park
    hours)

Note that when the Magic Kingdom Fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m., the Electrical Water Pageant runs about 7-20 minutes later."

You could maybe book a meal at one of the resorts or just grab a quick service or snack and drink to have while you watch the pageant

We often see it while waiting for a monorail leaving MK following fireworks.

My favourite spot to watch this is on the beach at the Poly - one of the nicest FREE things to do in the world.

Thank you so much there are great ideas. I cant wait to see it for the first time. That is what I LOVE about Disney... there is always something left unseen that keeps us coming back for more.

stand either by fire rock geyser at Wilderness, or off by the bank of bay lake at WL... both have great views of the pageant however i prefer near the geyser... just watch out for when it erupts...

When we were at MK during the Marathon weekend in Jan., they were not running the same # of monorails that night in preparation for the next day. We watched the entire thing from the monorail line while waiting.

Last summer, watched it from the beach at the Poly, then watched Wishes (early summer) or vice versa, can't remember off-hand which was first. Really neat way to cap off our day.

    Re: Night time water pageant

I just happened to catch the pageant last night while on the Ferry from Magic Kingdom. The monorail line was ridiculously long so I waited in the Ferry line and then the captain came over the PA and told us we had to hold for the water pageant. He said it was the longest-running parade at WDW. Been running since 1971.

This was around 10:40 or so. Luckily, I was in the very front of the boat and got some decent shots. (Would've been better had I had a better camera.)

My wife and I grabbed lounge chairs on the "beach" (hardly) at Wilderness. A glass of wine and we were set for the show. Very relaxing, nice breeze, and not too many bugs out that night. Guess we'll be doing that again this December.
Really, Walt? Disneyland is MY land? Why would I want a silly little land when I can have the WORLD.

    Re: Night time water pageant

On one of my all-time greatest trips (waaaaay back in 1983) I was staying at the Contemporary Tower on the Bay Lake side and the Water Pageant came by. As this was mid-May, we had no inkling at the suprise in store - they were testing out the fireworks display that evening! I still remember the awesome BOOOOOOOOOM at the end of the show when they let loose with a major barrage of shells.

What a great show - seeing it from the beach or the Tower is really nice.

I only remember seeing it from the Poly myself, and it looked really good from there. You can watch it from almost any of the resorts along there though.
