Fort Wilderness Cabin Question
We have 4 adults going to stay in the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. I was wondering if the bunk beds are big enough for an adult to fit comfortably. Also, are the bunk beds far enough away from the double bed for comfort? In the pictures I have seen it looks like they are very close together. Any other advice would be appreciated, I have never stayed there before. Thank you for your help.

Re: Fort Wilderness Cabin Question
We have stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge in their standard hotel room in main hotel. This is the same set up, actually a tad better with a night stand between and a much higher ceiling at Wilderness than AKL.
My son had no issues at 5'10" in top bunk. Ya they are relatively close but no closer than two doubles or queens with a night stand between.
If all you are doing in the cabin is sleeping and the goal is the parks you should be fine.

and you can see how close at AKL to bed, the frame of bunk in right corner of pic

Some people are like Slinkies.
They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.
Friends are Gods way of apologizing to us for our families.

Re: Fort Wilderness Cabin Question
We stayed in the cabins one year. As stated above the double and the bunks aren't any closer than the set up in a standard hotel room. The bunks were standard sized - so depending on how big the person using the bunk is they should be ok. We had the kids take the bedroom and we slept on the murphy bed in the living room and it was pretty comfy!!
As a side note - we had a blast at the campground!!! The sing-a-long campfire/movie was always such fun!!!

Re: Fort Wilderness Cabin Question
Don't want to hijack the thread, but if you don't mind my asking, how was the transportation? And what did you like/not like about your stay at FW?
