    Foster Children

My wife and I have recently become foster parents for the first time. We went from 2 grown children, 20 & 18, to parents of 3 children ages 8, 6 and 4. These kids have never been to WDW. Of course, we are Disney freaks in this house.

Obviously we would love to treat these kids with a trip to the World. The problem is in this economy every dollar is fairly tight. I'm not sure we can swing a full WDW vacation package for 7 people. (Yes, the grown kids think they have to go, too! And they would cover their own expenses.) My question is does anyone know of any discounts that Disney may offer for foster children or possibly any other vacation packages offered through other means? Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome. Thanks!!

Last I heard, they did not.

But congrat's on raising 2 very responsible children. Being able to pay their way to Disney at 18 and 20! That is two very responsible young adults.

They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.

A bit of advice from a stance of complete ignorance would be to call Disney directly or get in touch with a travel agent. I'm sure if anyone knew what sort of discounts they're running, it would be them. And it may save you from a potential letdown to listen to hearsay that they would offer you a break, only then to find they won't.

Thank's for the older thread link, Haunted Gabe! And thanks for the compliment on my kids! They are both full time students and both work (almost) full time hours. My 18 year old daughter is gonna do a 6 month mission to Haiti after the first of the year. She has been before and fell in love with those children in the orphanages. My Baby Girl is growing up way too fast!
