I've never made it to Food & Wine or Star Wars Weekends, but I'd have to lean towards F&W. The crowds I hear about for SWW scare me off a bit. Not So Scary is great, but I imagine that F&W would be much more fun.
My wife and I are teachers, we spent last Thanksgiving week in the parks. It was my wife and kids first time come to the World. They are giving me for my Fortieth birthday a trip with them back 2013. I want your opinion to come in May for Star Wars Weekends or October for Food and Wine and Not so Scary Halloween. Your input would be great appreciated. I am a big Foodie and a Star Wars Geek from the 80's. Actually I look like an Irish Lou. (a bit taller though)![]()

I'd be picking F & W. While F & W can get nutty over the weekends, you can always go during the midweek time. The Halloween Party is a great time.
I've accidentally done Star Wars. It is just nuts. I understand if that is your thing you might not mind the insane crowds. Being a non-Star, I just don't get it.
Some people are like Slinkies.
They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.
Friends are Gods way of apologizing to us for our families.
F&W is a great event, as sage persons abpove have noted it can be crazy on weekends but mid weeks is very manageable. Teh weatehr uis usually much mroe pleasant in october as well. The Not So Scary Halloween Party is great fun fun as well, I recommend it.

I really enjoyed SWW, but would think a mid-week trip during F&W would be nicer for crowds and weather.
Thanks guys it look like F&W for me then.
Chiming in late, but touring in the fall and being able to take advantage of both Food and Wine and MSSHP are tough to beat.
