    Adventurer's Club

OK, I've never been there. I have heard things like "kungaloosh" on this site. I've read some things about it. Is this a place that I should go to? Do they have good drinks? Is it pricey? Does the entertainment wear thin after a while? How long do people stay there. It sounds like The Jekyll and Hyde Club in NYC which I love, but I was curious what everyone else had to say abotu it. I'm not into clubs and it was suggested as an alternative that people raved about. Any thoughts?

Since you are an adult and not into dance clubs, I would give the Adventurer's Club and the Comedy Warehouse a try once. As far as drinks, Comedy Warehouse has some mixed drinks as does the AC. AC has one called the Kungaloosh, and I don't remember what was in it....but it's yummy. Kungaloosh is also the club salute.

As far as entertainment, Comedy Warehouse is always a new show. They take things from the audience each time. AC follows a "script" very, very, very loosely. So, it changes as well. Sadly the appearances of minor children can affect the actors performances and they can "hold back," which isn't as fun. I think this happens more in the AC than the CW. However, a "boring" audience can make the CW less fun.

I know people who hang out in the AC all night and some do the Comedy Warehouse all night too. I like to do both. You have to leave CW after each show and line back up again, AC you can stay in there the whole night w/o leaving.

They have "shows" all night and some people spend their whole evening there. Plain Cokes run $2.50. I have been there at least twice every time I am at WDW and enjoy it every time.

I love the AC and can spend all night there! If you only go for a little time, go near the end of the night so you can see the Hoopla!

It has been a long time since I went to PI anyway ('91) but we enjoyed both of these and kept going back between the two just because we could. No other real reason to leave either of them. Great evening entertainment.

We're definitely planning on going during out trip coming up in Jan. '06. We've never been before, but I've always wanted to go, so my wife and sister in law agreed to check it out.

The word on the street is that you can get into the AC without a PI pass before 9 pm. Is this true?

AC rocks!! Generally my trips to PI consist of: dinner, followed by a quick tour through Mannequins (poke your head in there even if you're not a club person, the decor is worth seeing and early on there's no crowd), a half hour or so in the Beach Club, then on to the AC by 10. I leave to catch the last CW show (generally the most "adult" show), and hightail it back to AC for their last show. The PI dance clubs, IMHO, are decent dance clubs, but are not what sets PI apart. AC is pure Disney magic, adult style. Go, you won't be sorry...and have a Kungaloosh for me!

OK, haven't been to the AC yet and have also heard alot about the Kungaloosh drink.

So, as a recovering bartender, I would like to know what is in it. Can anybody help?

Isn't there whipped cream on it?

New Kungaloosh Recipe -- since 2000 or so

1 cup Daily's Strawberry Daiquiri Mix
    1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum
    1/4 cup blackberry brandy

Toss it in a blender with enough ice to make it slushy.
