My wife and I are going to WDW in eight days and heard that some of the parks were opening the turnstiles early. Is this true? Thank you. By the way, we will celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary on the night of Sept. 14 at MNSSHP

I'm here this week and haven't noticed that... I'll keep an eye out, though, and let you know.
They usually do open the turnstiles a little earlier than official park opening time - definitely true at Epcot (although there was some delay on the EMH morning we were there that pushed the opening until right @8AM). At the MK you have the opening ceremonies before it opens for the day. DHS seems to be off and on from what I hear - we got there right at opening and it was clear many people were already in the park - by the time we got to TSMM the fastpass return time was already 11:30AM and the standby line was posted as 60 minutes although it really turned out be about 25 minutes.
If you're hitting the parks in the morning I would strongly consider getting there at least 20 minutes before the official opening. On the other hand, September might be the least crowded time of the year in the parks so you shouldn't to worry much about waits.
Congratulations on 35 years!!
