Shipping items to resort - pre-trip

Hi Has anyone shipped a package (to themselves) to the resort a couple days before you arrive?
We were thinking of shipping a small package to ourselves to the French Quarter., that will have non perishable stuff in as well as our Magic Bullet blender for our (diet) protein shakes snakes etc......

We were thinking UPS to the resort., maybe about 4 days before???? How about sending it back before we leave to come home we were thinking some of my daughters MANY souvenirs she's going to buy..., last year we had to by a MICKEY rolling duffel bag and check it in LOL

Any advice would be great!!!!
Just paid it off this morning.......40 days and counting................

I have actually shipped to the French Quarter twice. From N. IL it was there day 2 once and day 3 the second time via UPS. It works well because you can track the package online. I believe they will hold it for a week prior to arrival. Make sure your reservation number with your arrival date is easily visible. When we checked in they told us the package was there and they would have delivered to our room. The second time the box wasn't there yet but did arrive on our check in date and a message was on the answering machine.

The last time we did this the boxes were stored at POR and they needed to transfer them over to FC.
FYI, tips are appreciated for the deliveries. As for shipping back, I've never done that. Even with paying for another suit case, we pack a large empty cloth duffle bag and just pay the $25 extra luggage charge. UPS isn't cheap.
