Hair ties on expedition Everest?!?

Does any one know why there is hundreds of hair ties on the edge of the expedition Everest ride at the part where the track is out, right before the ride goes backwards?

Wonders of the World. My hair is very long. The first time I rode Everest I didn't get to see much of the ride. Due to the force of the ride I spent most of the experience resembling Cousin It from the Addams Family.

When I ride Everest when it is hot out my hair is normally pulled up however this April with mild temps I had my hair in one of those bungy cord headbands that resemble a hair tie on steroids. Slow learner, I lost two of them on Everest.

My guess is many girls/women, if their ties are not bound very tightly the force is just pulling them out of their hair and likely dumping them where you start to go backwards. Likely there are lots of hair ties throughout the ride.

I am a woman who frequently wears her hair back in a hair tie and I'm sorry but EE is not going fast enough to release the hair tie from your head. Plus, the location where all the hairbands are is pretty much right before you begin to go backwards.

BTW, I've worn my sunglasses on top of my head on Everest and they never budged. I'd have to assume the g-forces needed to remove them from my head would be far less than what it would take to rip off a hair tie.

Kinda what I was thinking, all bringing hair ties as an offering??? I'll ask my son to inquire what they find on that attraction. Coins I understand where they are tossed, Rubberbands to the Yeti on purpose, not so much.

Yeti hates hair ties. No other explanation.

Noticed them on my last trip in November. Makes the ride look trashy- after all you are supposed to be on a snow cap mountain at Disney- not Six Flags.
