    Spending Money for Disney

    OK, this is the first time that I have gone to Disney and I want to be prepared. On Avg., how much should I put aside for my wife, 13 yo son and myself. We are staying at the Contemporary from Nov. 22-Nov. 29th. I am not planning on too many fancy meals, it's just not our style.

    Is that $1000 per person?

    Waterford is about 10 miles north of Albany.

    Hey I'm from Cohoes!!

    I just got back from my honeymoon and we spent more than we should have!!!! 2800.00 for 11 days 2 people... that's not including airfare or hotel..

    On average for spending money it's about 1500.00 for the 2 of us...
    but then again I buy a lot of things!!!

    It cost us over $3000 for the travel p[lans, so I was figuring at least that for spending money and food, I'm glad to hear that I am not that far off.

    Depending on how big eaters you are, extras like snacks and drinks, and of course what you spend on souveniers, it can be a flexible amount. To save, pack a few drinks for there, snacks for in between meals, and set a allowance for you child for disney gifts if you want to watch the spending.

    I'd plan on a little more than you think, in case you decide on a sit down meal or another added expense. Have fun!

    Welcome to the boards!!! You don't need any cash, just charge to your resort bill (your room key(s) is/are used as a charge card) if you have a major credit card. It's a great free service Disney provides.

    not including the 4-Day park hopper tickets we had, but it ran me a cool $500.00 for WDW this past July 3rd and 4th.
