    Monopod policy

    Hello,

I made a monopod/GoPro selfie pole for cheap out of a car squeegee I picked up for $5 at Walmart. Problem is, on the Disney site it says they have to be small enough to fit in a backpack. It sticks out of my backpack about 3 inches (just BARELY). Is this something to be concerned about? Will they still let it through? I don't see it as a safety hazard since it's not even sticking out enough to hit somebody in the eye or anything. I'd rather not have to drop $20-50 on a shorter pole. Thoughts?

Hmm, not sure about this one... With a little ingenuity you could probably shorten the pole the 3 inches you would need. Pull the grip off and cut the excess off then replace the grip? If you damage the pole beyond repair you'd only be out 5 bucks.

    Re: Monopod policy

I discovered that my brothers backpack is big enough to fit it. It stretches it to almost ripping it, but it will "fit" in the backback for the security check, then I can just let it stick out a few inches once I'm in the park.
