    Christmas parade filming...

does anyone know the dates yet that they will be filming the Christmas parade? I know they did it over a couple of days the first week of Dec. last year. I was just wondering since I'll be there then.

    Thanks

It's the first weekend in Dec... probably 12/3 and 12/4. I know this because there is a drum corps honor group that will be marching in the parade as part of Disney music days and they are scheduled to be there for filming on 12/3.

LOL...all the DWT'ers that are there for it need to hold up a big sign so us others can see you when it airs on tv
It's a Disney thing. If you understood, your only question would be "can I go?"

Hello Everyone, I received an email from Lightship (they are the ones that tape the parade), the taping will be on the 2nd and 3rd. Friday and Saturday, which really stinks!!!! We arrive on Sunday. Hope this helps whoever will be there at these times.

Found this info on MousePlanet: http://www.mouseplanet.com/parkupdat.../wdw051108.htm

On December 2 and 3, the Walt Disney World Very Merry Christmas Parade will be taped for national broadcast on Christmas Day. Volunteers are being requested for crowd shots by the broadcaster, Lightship TV (http://lightshiptv.com/parade/). All slots on Saturday, December 3 are filled, though some spots are still available for Friday, December 2.

Note that tickets from Lightship TV will not be required in conjunction with park tickets on park admission on those days, just for the "crowd reaction shots" area. Mobility within the parks may be limited for other day guests, though, due to the stop-and-start nature of the parade filming.
