5/17/02 as it related to Test Track?
I was at EPCOT recently and decided to do some poking around while waiting for the people to file out of the preshow room at Test Track. There was a lot to see and read, but I only had a moment or two to see it all, so things that had a lot of writing, I took pictures of, including the Bulletin Board/Whiteboard hanging on the wall. Upon closer examination of the board, a couple of things caught my eye. Under the "Ride and Handling" section written on the whiteboard, it reads "Route 97- Open" I think this might be in reference to the fact that the originally scheduled opening date for this attraction was in 1997. But what really sparked my curiosity was a note of some sort scrawled out on Test Track stationary which stated some simple equations for acceleration rates and gravity and such, as well as a line along the bottom reading "TT 5/17/02". Does anyone know anything about why that date might be written there, or what it might represent? Or is it entirely random?
Also, after eyeing the equations on that paper, as well as some basic conversions on a smaller stick-it note elsewhere on the board, I almost wonder if there is some secret hidden in the physics on the board. You know... if I plugged in the right numbers into the equations, will the result come up with a number that represented the opening date of the attraction or something? Or are they two just random stuff to fill the board. I like to think that if they were put out in view of the guests at Disney, they probably weren't just random, and there was likely a pretty good amount of thought that went into them.
I don't know... maybe I'm just searching for secrets where there are none at all.
