this was a joke! as far as I know airports don't usually do background checks on flying passengers.

if you are renting a car the car rental company may do a check for a clean license.

Working in Law Enforcement I can tell you that most D.A.'s offices are only interested in you paying it and you should still be able to pay. Also local traffic warrants are not put into the NCIC system so you wouldn't have to worry about it in another state but man I would really try and take care of it before you go if you can...just a suggestion.

Well I feel a lot better... I went down today and took care of the stupid warrant. I spoke to an officer behind the clerks desk and told him what I was there for and he actually came out from behind the desk and acted all serious trying to arrest me! Then as he was about to put the cuffs on he turns me around and said that he was only kidding. I almost peed all over myself! He said that they would never have noticed unless I got pulled over in Kentucky. (That's where the ticket was from. I live 9 miles across the river from Louisville, KY)

LOL...thats bad...but like I said they don't get entered inot NCIC so being out of state you would have been fine. They are honestly only worried about collecting the fine and getting it over with. I'm glad it worked out...

I would have died on the spot if that was me...glad that you were able to get it taken care of. Now you can enjoy the trip without the worry of something happening.

Good job on taking care of the ticket. Our District Attorney is a stickler, he brought a man back from Minnesota for a several year old bad check, made the man pay all of the expenses too. He does the same for traffic, no one sticks it to our county, as a small business owner I really appreciate his check collection unit. Stinks for for the "bouncers" though.
