I never heard anything official, I just figured that M(ouse)EARS was an incication that it was owned by Disney.

I have to admit though, that the service, in my opinion, has never been up to true "Disney" standards.

I'll be interested to know the scoop too.

They would loose a ton of business if Disney cancelled them.... you never know.

Actually it is for Tony Mears I believe.

    I don't know either!!

What I can say is that we have used them in the past for going to the other attractions in Orlando and have always found them reliable and cheap!!

I was told by a bus driver that Disney contracts with Mears because the cost is less than paying for the busses and the upkeep themselves.

Actually, it's named for Paul Mears, the founder

I would never use Mears again unless they drastically change. We waited for hours to get our pickup (and we did check in) and the family we went with got on before us even though we checked in before them (same hotel, same flight and same number of people...) On the bright side, when we got to Pop Century, all the negative stuff on how to get there (like losing my boarding pass, etc...) just floated away...
