I was hoping to purchase it myself and build a large vacation home for me and my family.. but Disney said no and my bank account said **** no!!!
What will become of the land that was once River Country?? Are there any rumors or plans for it?? I'm sure it will become something...haven't heard or seen anything since it closed...

Perhaps the PoC Water park, based on the movie. I posted some pictures of the Imagineering sketches in another one of my posts. Personally, River Country was one of my favorites, it was the first water park I ever went to, and it was chocked full of atmosphere. Plus it was always nice to gaze out and see Space Mountain from lines to the water slides.
River Country was my first water park too and is still my favorite!! It is so sad to see it every time I take the boat out of Fort Wilderness and know my kids will never remeber sliiper rock slide.![]()
ohman! i never got a chance to go there...my mom is a big scaredy cat so she doesn't go on water rides which meant we hardly ever went to their water parks.

Well since no one here can purchase it and make a personal playground, let's hope they do something fun with it, and soon.
