Refill Mugs

Ok, I know, breaking the rules.....
But I bought a refill mug at Port Orleans Riverside last February when I was there. Do you think they have changed the mug, or do you think I could bring my mug back with me?

I won't tell...I bet it's still the same and you could just keep your eyes open and not bring it out until you're sure it is.

if they charged $50 for the mug, i'd say go for it. but, for $11? is it really going to kill your budget that much to be honest? you're going to sell your morals and soul for $11?

It isn't just saving $$$, but also, I just don't need another mug, you know what I mean? I hate buying something that will just sit in my cabinet....
It is not a big deal....

So are those mugs really worth it though? How much does it usually cost to grab a soda? I guess there is always the option of grabbing a case of soda nearby...

It really depends on what you're drinking. A lot of people choose the mug option cuz they like their morning coffee every morning. If you have kids who like to drink a lot of coke, they're definatley worth it- especially if you plan to spend some time at your resort.

GD I usually agree with you but hey I have to admitt that I had two mugs from my last trip to th Ploy. and I took them with us on my trip last month and you are talking a good year between the two trips. The mugs were the same and all I did was purchase one for myself and gave the kids the other two. I was not going to drop $36 dollars on three new mugs when I had two perfectly good mugs already. So for you mug police turn me in. Lara I say bring your mug sister I won't tell

I have posted this somewhere before but when I was on my honeymoon in 2003 we bought our mugs because the sticker said they could be reused over and over year after year. I have read on here that some say that has changed, but the past 3 times we have been at the resort I haven't seen anything posted where we couldn't use re-use them.

We bought our mugs in 01 & have used them every year since. no problems. They do have it posted in POP Century that they're to be used for the current stay only though. I think i seen a dozen different mugs go through the lines at different times! bring em!

On my last trip, we brought 2 Port Orleans mugs from the 25th Anniversary (they even had the logo on them, too...)

They let us use them...at Coronado Springs. I don't think anyone will care (unless the CM working there is in a really, REALLY bad mood...)

Most of the time the CMs are just thinking "I don't care, I would do the same thing if it were me..."

You know for $200 or more a night that you might be paying for a room, what is $11 to the corporation. After all, it only cost them less than $1 to make and who know how much they make on the drinks. Buy them and use them.

However, the angel on my other shoulder says it isn't right to do that. It would be stealing and not following the rules.

you know how much i costs the average store to fill a 16 oz. soda? foam cup and all, using post mix is around $00.20. so go ahead drink, drink, drink till you explode.

FYI: Back in 99 Disney used to say that the mugs were good at any resort (regardless where you bought them) and also forever...so yes..Disney has definitely changed the rules in the past few years.
