Do you tip at resorts for mousekeeping?

Do you have to tip for mousekeeping at the resorts? I mean you are paying so much for the resorts to begin with. Are you supposed to tip no matter how long or short you stay is? Also do you tip more for Deluxe vrs Moderate and Value. Do you tip dependig on how many are in the room? What is a "normal tip". Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

We always tip our Mousekeeper!!! We usually tip a dollar a day per person in our room. Depending on the service and Mousekeeper we have we sometimes leave extra at the end of our stay. This past June we had the same Mousekeeper for the entire 10 day stay except for two days and she was exceptional so we left her and extra $10 at the end of the week to show a little extra appreciation!!!

We always tip Mousekeeping, too. Usually it's $3 - 5 a day, and we leave it out each morning either with a "thank you" note or in an envelope if we are prepared ahead of time.
