wow.. this looks familiar..
Planning on going back to Disney World next year and was wondering which would be better and what would the price difference/ crowds, etc... be like. Basically, I'm looking at the pros and cons of each. We'd go for prob 10 days and we'd go December 26th, March break would be Mar 10 - 20th.
Does any of the parks have anything going on for New Years Eve? (not interested in Pleasure Island because my son would be coming with us) Does Disney still have decorations up between Christmas and New Years?
We'd prob stay at Pop Century. We loved it last time. Any pointers/help/opinions, etc... would be most welcome.
Thanks in advance for your views and information!

Gee, that was kind of rude.Originally Posted by dzney4lyf

Christmas through New Years is the most crowded time at Walt Disney World. We're talking wall-to-wall can't-move-without-stepping-on-toes crowded. Yes, the decorations are up through New Years, and all the parks except Animal Kingdom have special fireworks displays.
In March you would have more college students on Spring Break, plus if those dates correspond with Easter/Passover/Spring Breaks, you would have higher crowd levels then too, but not *quite* as bad as the holidays.
If at any time you can't find the questions you've previously posted, or you want to see if a topic has already been discussed, at the bottom of the page (in the last dark-blue bar) there is a link to "Archive". There you can click on any forum title and get a simple list of all the threads in that forum. Multiple threads on the same topic is confusing for everyone.

Please note that I received the following email from Labretonne this evening, and at her request, I am posting it here:
"I'm sorry if I posted in a few different forms. I figured that people normally stuck to one section (I usually stick to ask the expert) and figured if I posted in different forums, I'd get more information. If I'm rude, then I'm sorry. That wasn't the intention. I won't post anymore if that is what people really think. Lou can you post this for me so that people don't think I'm being "RUDE"?
Thanks in advance for your help!"
Thank you for your email, and explaining your reasons for the multiple posts. I apprecaite your doing so, and understand what your intentions were. By all means, please do not feel as though you cannot or should not post anymore. I think we all acknowledge and underastand the reasons for the posts and the reactions to same.
By keeping your questions or comments to a single post or thread, I can assure you that they will still be answered.
So, let's put this behind us and move on... All still friends, OK?
Oh, and my 2 cents - I agree about the crowds in both times, but I'd suggest going for Christmas time, as the holiday decorations, events, and even weather make it one of the best times of year to go!

You'll be looking at days that average in the lo 70s, while the nights may be around 50 degrees. Perfect IMHO
You can get list of the average temperatures and rainfall throughout the year in Orlando here: http://www.disneyworldtrivia.com/weather.php
Hope that helps!

I really think March will be less crowded.
easter next year is April 8 - so that means to avoid April 1 -14.
the only other problem that lots of survey don't consider is the locals.
here is the school calender for Fl for 2006
http://www.fldoe.org/districtcalendar/
the counties to watch for are Osecola (kissimmee), Orange (orlando) and lakes (both I think)
I am going March 3 - 10 - so I will tell you more when I return. I don't think it will be horrible - just a little crowded....
christmas to Ny is Disney's busiest season....
can you go the first two weeks of Dec. that is low season - so the parks are about as empty as they get.
plus there are decorations everywhere!!!! the special stuff is going on and everything is just fun. plus the internet sites have their meeting then....![]()
but I am not certain that I would ever go Christmas to NY....but who knows maybe once just to see how bad it really is....
so it is a pretty wonderful time to be at WDW.
