First Disney Trip 06.. Any tips

I am going to DW on April 8th 06 for a week... Anyone have any good tips.. We are staying at a Disney Resort and have ultimate park hopper passes... YEAH..... Any other good advise??

First, have fun!

Second, what resort are you staying at?
Do you like thrill rides, taking little kids, want to meet characters, etc? Let us know then we can make tips!

Make sure you visit at least two restaurants in Epcot world showcase. Also, make sure you ride Rock 'n' roller coaster.

We are staying at Value Resort The movie one.... The ones with Mighty Ducks and Love Bug and NO kids just adults and there is a large group of us... LOVE adventure and the faster the better... BUT the parents are also going to be with us so some slow pace things for mom also would be great... BTW I am 26 and this is my first disney trip.. YEAH

I stayed at All Star Movies before too-very disney themed.

I recommend for thrills: Don't miss the new Expedition Everest at animal kingdom
Don't miss Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Big thunder mountail railroad at Magic Kingdom

catch Tower of Terror and Rockin Roller Coaster at MGM
Do at EPCOT, Soarin (a must see!) and Test Trak and Mission Space.

All those for thrills. For relaxing, do at Magic Kingdom Mickey's Philharmagic and, well, pretty much everything else there too!

yes you definitely need to ride everest!

while you are at AK make sure you ride the safari. You should get a Fast Pass because the lines are usually very long.

Don't forget to see the fireworks at Epcot, Magic Kingdom and MGM they are spectacular

For Fantasmic at MGM you can do the preferred dining and get reserved seating for the show

1. Hoop-de-do-Revue
2. Polynesian Luau
3. Mickey's Backyard BBQ

You can also do carriage rides at Port Orleans

Most important...have fun! and don't expect to do everything...just because there is so much to do. Get the lay of the land first and make a list of things that interest you. Be flexible due to breakdowns, closures and crowds. Break into small groups and keep meeting at particular time frames if there are some people who want to do one thing and the rest want to do another. It's a big place and it's hard to keep large groups together and still do a lot of things.
