wow that's crazy. I wanna know if that's true too!
When I was a castmember for Disney we actually heard of rumor that I never really verified, so I am asking the experts, if they have heard of this.
When The Tower of Terror was built, they say the first time they dropped the elevator it blew out an air vent area out the back of the building because of all the air it displaced. Therfore they had to expand the backside of the Tower base to accomodate more air flow from the elevators.
Is this true??

I saw this particular rumor mentioned on History Channel's Modern Marvels, so I generally have no reason to disbelieve it.
Though they also suggested that it was this air displacement that made them decide to have the windows open up at the top of the ride before the big drop in the first place.
yeah they had to have the windows open at the top because of the air pressure
they did that to relieve the pressure but as far as an air duct getting blown out i doubt

Is there a building left at WDW that doesn't have this rumor attached?Originally Posted by DisneyFREAK91
