Yes, it's connected to the bakery, but now they charge for the embroidary. (not much, but it's not free anymore)

My Favorites were my Purple Figment Horns that I got in 1989. I wore them on every trip to WDW after that. When I was a WDW CM (in 1997) I used to VoluntEAR at the Give Kids the World Village (its where terminally ill kids stay when they go to WDW as their final wish) and I wore my cherished hat every week. One kid in particular really liked it and I gave it to him.

He's wearing it in heaven now, so I hear.

Wear Ears, or any other funny Character hat you want, its part of the deal, and BF will have to get over it.

I think wearing the ears in pubic is just fine as long as the public stays to resort area. I have seen adults wearing ears up her in North Carolina and needless to say it is a little strange.

I wear mine-but only at WDW, of course, I have the very fetching PotC edition with the pink Pirates rag, but wear them I do and proudly, too. Just never in public in Alabama. that may be a little over the top.
