Can't believe this thread has reappeared!
Just to update - although we didn't wear the ears (just never got round to buying them) I have managed to convert bf into being as much of a Disney freak as me and when we returned last year he was quite happy to wear a huge 'Just Married' badge every day!
I am not ashamed to say that I pretty much constantly wear the ears in Disney World. Where else could you get away with it!!!!!!!![]()
A big congrats to you!! Too bad you didn't get the bride and groom ears!!

I remember when i was really young and going with my parents and my mom and dad would wear mickey ears and i think that made the trip even more fun cause your parents were cutting loose and having fun and not to grown up to wear them so i thought it was cool!
I'm 17 (not an adult, but still) and I see nothing wrong with wearing mickey ears while you are at disney world no matter how old you are. Disney World is about having fun! I'm not afraid to act silly or wear my disney attire while I'm at disney world, it's part of what makes Disney World an awesome place to be! :-)
Coming from a 17 year old, for gods sake PLEASE don't wear mickey ears around your teenage child. I would be mortified.

I say, when in Disney, we're all kids!! Wear the ears!
Piglet Rules!!
Thats one of the points of disney world and thier movies DONT GROW UP!!!!
Thats the magic Im 30 now and me my wife and our 2 boys will all wear them at least one day in the parks. He will change his mind once he goes down there and feels the "magic"
I think to myself what a wonderful world
Heck yes, wear the ears! The only reason I didn't intend to the last time I was there (last month), was that my budget didn't allow for me to buy a pair. My last pair of "ears" was a Minnie Mouse-head-hat (I think these were talked about earlier in this thread, those hats circa early 90's?) I still have it, but it's a little...clunky, now, and wouldn't be very condusive to what our plans included.
HOWEVER.In the first time I have ever gotten anything from the Year of a Million Dreams, my friend, mother, and I were given free YMD Ears!
I was totally thrilled and wore them practically the rest of the trip.
For reference, I'm 19 and typically take myself WAY to seriously.I would normally die of embarassment...but at Disney? I was all over it!

"Somehow I can't believe there are many heights that can't be scaled by a man who knows the secret of making dreams come true. This special secret, it seems to me, can be summarized in four C's. They are Curiosity, Confidence, Courage and Constancy, and the greatest is Confidence. When you believe a thing, believe it all over, implicitly and unquestioningly."
--- Walt Disney
I think that if you get it, then why not? My favorite set of ears that are out right now, are the pirate ones.

I'd never mock someone for wearing Mickey ears but I also have never worn them myself (even as a child) they're just not my thing. If someone insisted that I wear them I would refuse and I would probably avoid that person in the future. I can't understand the idea that everyone in a vacation group should dress alike because it's "fun". That is the polar opposite of fun to me.
