    chef mickey?

Hello, I'm new to this site. I will be taking my son to WDW for the first time in Feb. He will be 5. I have not been there since 1994, so many things have changed since i've been there. My question is do I have to stay at the contemp. resort to go to the chef mickey meal?:mickey:

No, anyone can go to Chef Mickey's but I would reccommend getting reservations 60-30 days ahead. Your son will love Chef Mickey's, they have great food (buffet), all his favorite characters, and right after, you can hop on the monorail to go to Magic Kingdom or Epcot (or take a bus to MGM, AK, TL, or BB)

You may also want to consider going to Ohanas

He won't win the MVP or be voted into the Hall of Fame........then again, some heroes don't play games.

They have amazing food and it is perfect for the family. They have games while you are eating to keep children having fun. As a 14 year old i have to say that you can never grow tired of Ohanas! Have fun on your trip!

Oh yeah and no you don't have to stay at that resort, but i suggest making reservations, because tables go fast!

If I were you...I wouldn't wait to make reservations (ADR's) until 30-60 days out. You can now make them 180 days out from the first day of your vacation. I made some ADR's for some friends yesterday and they are only 80 days out from their vacation and the only dinner reservation left for the day they requested at Chef Mickey's was for 9 PM for a party of two. So...the sooner the better! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or concerns about making ADR's at WDW!

Just FYI, I've never heard of any hotel in the USA that has a private restaurant that only registered guests can dine at.
