Green Mickey stickers

Ok I have a question

I just got back from my trip.

Now, I stayed at the Yacht Club. And right as we entered our room, I looked across the small hallway, and noticed a green Mickey sticker. It was the three circles colored green btw. Like a Hidden Mickey. I had no idea what it was.

The CM's weren't exactly sure either. Anyone here know why?

It is the symbol of members of another Disney message board, which I'll be respectful and not mention here by name.


People on that board go, if they can, to The Home Depot and get Mickey Mouse paint chips in the color "Alien Green." Posting it in your resort room window/on the door and putting them on your backpack (if you use one) is a way for members of that board to "recognize" each other. I've read that some people who don't live near a Home Depot store (which I think is the exclusive outlet for Disney interior house paint) make their own.

I hope that solves the mystery.

I'm not aware of any secrecy. Out of respect to the owners/administrators of THIS website, I don't want to "plug" a competing website here, I just don't think that would be proper.

It's a site I found to be a bit disappointing IMO. I wouldn't call them competition when compared to these boards. Why go displacing paint chips from home depot causing the alien green samples to disappear when you can proudly show off your a member of the site you're on with a flashy yellow lanyard or t-shirt? What a disgrace :P

We probably are talking about the same site, it's just that chances are you're not a cast member trying to use the cast member section to chat with other cast members who I wouldn't see on a daily basis, but unfortunately I never made it in. Plus, I feel that this forum is MUCH friendlier than over there by a longshot. I don't see that many arguments or whining/complaining here than I used to over there, also not to mention their mindset of "If it isn't Disney, it isn't worth doing" which really bugged me and all the Universal bashing. If you've read some of my posts, you know I love both parks equally and enjoy visiting other places just the same. You can have fun wherever you go, just don't go bashing it because it isn't Disney.

Aright I'll do it and be the one to get in trouble for it..

It's the Disboards! They use the green Mickeys to identify each other out and about.

I will admit that I do visit there off and on but only to read. I hardly post anything anymore because I ended up in a "fight" with another member over something stupid. And that's all I'll say about it.

This is where I belong.. DWT members are my O'Hana and I love it here.
