Ask The Disney Experts Discuss Pop Century in the Ask The Experts forums; I've been hearing mixed reviews about Pop Century. What has everyone experienced? What are the benefits of staying there?...

I stayed there two weeks ago (wow has it been 2 weeks already?!?!) I've had better stay on property then I did this last time. I just seemed to be missing something. And the view across the lake were not great...three incomplete buildings and no activity going on.

I can't quite place it, but there just was something missing.

    - what is the limit for guests in a room? Will they allow a family of 5 to stay in the PCR or one of the other value resorts?

The Port Orleans : Riverside section allows 5 in some room as one of them is a small child. They have trundle beds in some rooms . These beds aare under the regular beds.

TG, I think zcook meant PCR as Pop Century Resort and not POR!

I've said it plenty of times, and I'll say it again. I stayed in PC during my last trip in July/August. We had two rooms (connecting) and I wasn't that happy with it at all. I'll be staying at POR in 16 days and can't wait. It's my favorite resort (thus far). I can't wait to try out OKW (my best friend works there and he loves it) and also to try the GF.

As far as the post goes...the benefits? Well it's a value resort, so it's got the cheap pricing. The food court isn't all that bad and the gift shop has enough merchandise. The rooms aren't that far from any pool, the main building and the bus stops. It's rather loud (at least it was for me) and a lot of younger children wanted to swim all night and go crazy in it and then run up and down the halls. It has some cool landscaping and theming, too. All in all, I'd give it a 1.5 out of 5 stars.

I think my issues with PC was the amount of wear that was on the place. I had a hole in my sheets and there was paint peeling in the bathroom. And in the area between the 70's buildings was having repairs done, so you had to walk all the way around to get to the next building.

Plus it seemed like it took the buses forever to get to the parks and no 2 bus drivers went the same way, when going from the same places.
