Be patient with one another! It's the happiest place on earth, but tensions can get fiesty. So just be patient and try to get a long with everyone!
Hi
Does anyone have any tips for a friend of mine? She is going to WDW for the first time in August, with her whole family. In total there will be 6 adults and 4 children aged 4 - 13. They are staying at Carribean Beach and are on the Disney Dining Plan. I have only ever been as part of a couple or family of 4.
Can anyone think of anything in particular that they may find useful?
Thanks!![]()

I agree with the suggestion for everyone to have patience. You don't realize how quick "little things" start to bother even the best of people (even in the Happiest Place on Earth.)
Tell them to plan some things together but to break off and do some things (maybe even a whole day) in separate groups. If the whole group is constantly revolving around one or two people's suggestions, things will get ugly really quick.
That happened to my sister and I last year when we took our kids and my husband. My best friend is there now (with husband, kids, BOTH grandmothers) and it has cured her from wanting to spend Christmas with either set of grandparents now.
The best tip I have for groups is to include ME! When do we leave?
They call me "Nana"
Get a few walkie talkies. That way the group can split up to do some age appropriate things, but can still keep in touch to get together for meals or rides with Fast Passes. Trying to force the entire group to be together the entire day will go downhill really fast.
Thanks for these. I think the walkie-talkie idea is great, and we are going to be there at the same time so have arranged for my mate and her BF to meet us and go clubbing one night. We have all been thinking about getting dinner reservations sorted, but does it take a long time on the phone? Is it going to cost a fortune calling from the UK?
