    What's the weather like?

Only a week and a half away from our WDW fun vacation including the New Years Eve celebration and I am keeping close attention to the weather forecasts. As I figure the weather must be completely different in Orlando than here in our windy, rainy and cold little country, I still have no clue of what to pack!

Could someone indicate me what the weather is like at the moment? Is it likely to turn around completely within 2 weeks time? Can we wear shorts and t-shirts? The weather forecasts predict temperatures of 22 - 26 degrees Celcius, and the lows are about 16 degrees Celcius. Is it much colder in the evening than during the day? Is there much cold wind?

Of course I am thinking of bringing layers of clothes, but not too much, because we need lots of space in our suitcases to bring all the souvenirs back home!

I would really appreciate it a lot if someone could give me some good advice! Thanks!

I live in FL, in Celebration to be exact, and during the day it is in the 70s, but at night its colder with the 40-50Fs.

Layers would work out great. I often wear shorts during the day, and then at night I switch into pants and a sweatshirt. :-) December can get cold in FL, so I definitely recommend bringing at least one really really warm sweatshirt.

December is also known for wind and rain, so it has had about 5-10mph winds. So just make sure you bring layers, and you should be fine!

Thanks for your reply! So I don't have to bring my winter coat?

Definitely not. Layers should be okay. It's been pretty warm.

To be honest, the weather is pretty typical right now, warm and sticky and it's supposed to stay that way through the holidays. It's not horribly unbearable.. It's nice weather considering it's december! Enjoy your trip, it's a fun time to be at the World!

If you plan on doing the night time outdoor stuff, keep a wool hat and gloves in your pocket. They make a big difference and can be carried more easily then a winter coat
