The Earl of Sandwich
I didn't see any posts about my favorite food joint at downtown disney, so I thought I ought to start a thread about the Earl of Sandwich (and judging by the long lines I always encounter, I must not be alone in liking it). Ever since it opened, it has been a family tradition to eat there on our last vacation day after strolling around the marketplace. My favorite is the Canonball sandwich and for dessert, their cute little cupcakes. Anybody else have any favorites?
Just a question: Is the Earl of Sandwich a chain? Are others located around the country?

I got hooked on the original, I think that's the name. I never knew I liked horseradish till I tried this. Yum! Must be due for one.
I noticed one the menu that, yes, it is a chain. They only have 9 listed on the Internet; three are in FL while the rest are spread across the US.

I love Earl! My roommate and I would go at least once a week while we were living down there. The Original with Horseradish sauce on the side so you could dip it was amazing. Along with a powerade and a chocolate chip cookie. That's my usual. I can't wait! 28 days until I can have this again!

The only time I have had Earl's is back in August when I dined on an Earl's Club only two hours after eating at Boma. I had some dining credits on the dining plan that I just had to use up before my departure, so Earl of Sandwich made a nice 4th Meal. Even on a full stomach, Earl's Club hit the spot, plus it was nice to sit outside on the patio and watch the people traffic of Downtown Disney.

Wonderful place to eat at DTDisney! We tried Planet Hollywood, but the music was so loud we couldn't think. Starving, we stopped at Earl and were not disapointed!

they have good bread pudding. not as good as 1900 parkfare's though!

I love Earl's! I usually go there for breakfast. They have breakfast sandwiches that are great, and the coffee is yummy!

We LOVE this place! Adam gets the Full Montagu and I get the Original. Roast beef is perfectly done. I even like to get 2 or 3 to bring home on the plane and have for the next couple days after returning home.
Too long to wait until another one!
I'm about as All-American as they come!

I haven't been there for a couple of years. From what I can remember it was really good!

Love the place and eat there at least once per trip. When I go to Orlando for work, I like to go to DTD in the evenings and have diiner there and then a milkshake @ Ghirardellis after I have walked around a bit.

me and my family discovered Earl's on our last trip down in April of 2008....it was DELICIOUS! such a nice change of pace from the regular old chicken strips and burgers, and it was great! i dont remember what i had, but i do remember it being delicious, and i definately plan on eating there again when i go back down in May!

Just got back from WDW. We ate there and everything was excellent as usual. Here's a hint. The kid's menu grilled cheese or pizza sandwiches are quite large. They aren't as fancy as the club and others but they are filling at a cheaper price. My only hangup with Earl is that when it gets busy it's a nightmare in that place. Best to beat the lunch crowd or go mid afternoon.

I love this place! I always have to eat there at least once per visit if not twice or more! They had a holiday sandwich in December that was to die for!
Oh, now I'm hungry.
