Museums about pioneer history?
Can anyone suggest anywhere in the Orlando area that I can visit to learn more about American pioneers, particularly hands-on stuff, like a visit to a fort or 'settlement'? Seeing as we're from the UK I'd like to add a bit of American history to our trip for our teens.

There's a fake fort on Tom Sawyer island.
I just found this http://nbbd.com/godo/FortChristmas/ for you. I hope it helps.

Try this site:About Us
It is located in Kissimmee. Not sure if it is what you are looking for though.
