Re: Wizarding World of Harry Potter (HELP)
I have pictures but I'm using crappy stolen internet right now haha (I'm still in Florida till the 29th). When I'm back, or if I get better internet I'll post some! Yesterday we did the Universal Studios park and when it closed at 8pm we walked over to IoA for some more Harry Potter stuff... got some great night photos and my boyfriend and I waited 40 minutes for Forbidden Journey.

Re: Wizarding World of Harry Potter (HELP)
Haha... well Soarin and Midway Mania were never under 2 hours when I was at those parks this week, so the one hour max I saw at Forbidden Journey is NOTHING in comparison. Disney had way longer wait times.... and the other two Harry Potter rides were 15 minutes or less. The only big lineup I refused to do was the show before Olivanders where a kid gets to choose a wand. My boyfriend's mom did that while we did FJ a second time because she didn't like the ride cause it was a bit too extreme for her.

Re: Wizarding World of Harry Potter (HELP)
We were at Universal for the first time last Sunday. We spent the entire day at Islands of Adventure (9AM to about 6PM). We went to Harry Potter first. There was an express lane for guests staying on property, but other guests had to take a longer route to HP land.
We had barely any wait to get into HPFJ, BUT that was because most people had bags to check and we went without bags. We also managed to get into the single rider line which by-passed all of the cue. We didn't realize what we'd done till we went back a second time later in the day. This time there was a 45 minute wait for HP Forbidden Journey, but the cue moved really fast, almost too fast to see all the cool stuff along the way. HP area was more congested than other areas of the park, but the only really long wait was for lockers and to get in to see the wand demo. (we didn't bother to wait in the sun for over an hour for that)
We did have lunch at the Three Broomsticks. We found the fish and chips to be quite good.
If someone in your party will not be riding attractions, then they can hold bags, otherwise go as light as possible and skip the long lines for lockers otherwise you'll be waiting for a locker, and then waiting in the attraction line as well as waiting to push through the crowd to get back to your locker. We seemed to notice that a good many attractions in Islands of Adven. required you to stow bags and backpacks.
Checking the ride vehicle for fit is important not only in HP, but everywhere. I'm 4'10 and about 20 pounds overweight. I thought several of the ride vehicles in all areas were confining.

Re: Wizarding World of Harry Potter (HELP)
Ok I've seen folks that were planning to go to the WWoHP during the October/November months. How where the crowds, where they the same as the summer months? We are going to WDW next Wed (yeah me!!!) and will be going to WWoHP on Thurs. 12/9. Since we are going to the MVMCP at MK the night of the 9th we thought we'd visit HP during the day. Anyone?

Dunno bout Oct/Nov but we were there in September and I guess crowds were lighter cos I'd heard wait times for Forbidden Journey was up to two hours but when we were there wait was 30 minutes which I didn't think was that bad cos there's so much to see in the castle as you move along.
