oooh, oooh, ooh, sounds fun
Just to let anyone interested know about this:
Shades of Green will be holding its 8th annual Oktoberfest and Armed Forces Appreciation Week on Wed.-Sat. October 26-29. From 1800-2200 (6-10pm, that is)
Everyone is welcome! You don't have to have anything to do with the military to enjoy this great event right on WDW. They set up a huge green and white striped tent and get the party started!
Tickets are $8 for adults 21 and up. Admission is free for those under 21.
Admission includes entrance, a souvenir Shades of Green Oktoberfest beer mug, and a chance to win a Grand Prize! (We are still working on what the prize will be but past prizes have included WDW resort stays with tickets and round trip airline tickets.)![]()
You can also get a ticket for the all-you-can-eat Bavarian Buffet for $12 (adults) and $5 for children 11 years old and under. (Find that kind of deal somewhere else on WDW!)
There is also going to be live entertainment(OOMPAH!), merchandise, and games. Don't forget the BEER TENTS! sponsored by Bitburger and Diebels Dark, along with german wines and schnapps.
Call here to Shades of Green guest services at (407) 824-2437 to purchase advance tickets or pick them up on the same day based on availability (Friday and Saturday always sell out though!)
If you have trouble getting through to us here, leave a message on the Oktoberfest line at (407) 824-6466.
If any of you DWTers are going to be on WDW October 26-29 check out this somewhat secret event (Disney doesn't advertise or speak of it as far as I know) after all, Shades of Green is not a Disney resort, even though it's on Disney property, so they can throw these kind of parties!

I take it you'll use it as an excuse to get drunk and fight Naval personnel?Originally Posted by shadesofgreen

It's a Disney thing. If you understood, your only question would be "can I go?"
