That is a good idea, but it just doesn't fit in.
Do you have any ride pieces that you can put to lead up to both scenes? that may look cool

I have space mountain tracks only but they wouldn't fit with either scene

hmm.. maybe rivers? in most public lobbies including at disney they all have to concentrate on the movement of the people. rivers could work to branch off to the start of the ride.
