Does anyone tent camp at WDW? (We usually use our travel trailer but live too far away to travel the distance to FL in our allotted vacation time.) It seems as though most of the people we've seen at Ft. Wilderness all have really big rigs. Would we be crazy to even consider this?
I am anything but a camper but have read so many threads about people who love it. Can't imagine doing so when it is really hot though, body would need time to rejuvenate. Maybe this will get you started.

I tented there in August with a couple of buddies. We were in the "basic" section. It still had water and electric hook-up, even though is was the basic site. There were mostly tents in our loop.
If you're interested in anything camping...especially at Fort Wilderness...some of the finest camping minds in the world can be found here... www.fortfiends.net .
It was great and we also took our Coleman tent this one here was a bit cozy there but overall fun.Quote:
