"Do you work here?"
No sir, I just love to dress up in khaki and olive drab with a WDW nametag and stand right in front of my favorite attraction just to make you think I work here. Do YOU work here? Where's the bathroom, I've gotta go!
I am a former Cast Member and pose a question to all the other Cast Members, past and present, What is the Funniest/Dumbest/Weirdest questions or comments made by guests to you? And how did you respond, serious answer or a joke answer?
I will start the ball rolling with a classic...
"What time is the 3 o'clock parade?"
I answered this depending on my mood. Usually...
"Depends on where you're standing"

and a guest asking "Where is space mountain?" I tend to just look up at the sign and back at them, then up again and back at them. If they still don't get it I direct them over to the People Mover and tell them that they can get inside Space Mountain from their.
"Is this the way to . . . "
Why yes it is! Just hop aboard one of our boats, and we'll take you to whatever destination you'd like. Just tell your skipper where you'd like to get off in advance![]()
I don't see how you did it as a Skipper. I would shoot myself if i had to do that script day in and day out >.<
First off, we've tried and found out the hard way that the guns are fake. Secondly, we're always changing things up with our spiels, so no 2 trips down the Jungle are ever the same. Besides, even if you are saying the same exact spiel over and over, there's a whole new boatload that hasn't heard your spiel, so you do your best to keep it up for them. If they turn out to be a lackluster bunch, you'd go ahead and change up your spiel, try out a new joke you've been working on and see how it goes. What I'd like to know is how those working the shows that say "move all the way down, filling every available seat" all the time do it since there's hardly any variety. I had to say the similar spiel before the cruise, and I get a bit irritated at it, but at least I had the freedom to adlib ontop of it.
I don't know thank god i never had to do that one. My biggest problem was people on the loading docks of space mountain don't seem to understand the concept of standing on the numbers 1-6. I even brought a flashlight at one point and shined it exactly where i wanted them to stand. They still didn't get it ~.~
I think the problem with the space mountain queue ( as a frequenter of the ride) is that unlike other rides it doesnt have any sort of partitions at the stations and people are forever moving from on spot to another. Also newer "space travellers" dont seem to realise that its a single seat ride vehicle and dont seem to get the system of queueing.
Althought I've never been a CM (hopefully tho on the CP '09) I was once tapped on the shoulder and asked where the nearest restrooms were.... must have been my khaki shorts lol
I worked at the Canadian Pavillion at Epcot many years ago and my favourite was when I was standing outside at the refreshment cart on a super hot day and a guest would say something like.."bet you're not used to this weather"
Why no, in Canada we're lucky if the iceburg in the backyard melts by August, I have to hitch up the dogsled and go south just to experience warmth!! UGH!!!!!!
Very funny!! That was another dumb statement I heard "could you say something in Canadian"
I would just laugh or speak French to them.
The question usually shocked me and I didn't think quick enough to do that. Somewhere I wrote down all the funny things guests asked me. I will have to find it and share.
LOL i never even thought about the annoying question that would be asked in the World Showcase XD
Im not a cast member but I get asked some variation of that allll the time when I'm not vacation. anywhere. lol. I live just outside of Toronto and its been 90-105 degrees farenheit everyday this week! A lot hotter than it was in Florida when I went in March (although I'm sure its hotter in Orlando right now :P)
